Child and Adolescent Trichotillomania Shame Scale (CATS)
Development Project

Does your child pull out their hair?

You, or you and your child, may be eligible to participate in an online survey study!

The Pediatric Anxiety and Related Disorders Center (PARC) at Kent State University is recruiting 200 parent-child dyads to learn more about the role shame plays in youth trichotillomania (hair-pulling) disorder.

We are recruting:

  • Children who are 12-18 years of age

  • Children who have some hair-pulling symptoms or behaviors

  • English is the primary language for both the child and parent/legal guardian

  • A parent/legal guardian responding to the survey must reside with the child at least 50% of the time
